£18.50 per hour on weekdays, £23.50 per hour on weekends

Job Summary

We are looking for registered medical professionals to join our flexible pool of vaccinators. Vaccinators will be offered a flexible contract to support Covid-19 and Flu Vaccination clinics across Somerset, including Yeovil, Wincanton, and Glastonbury.  

The vaccinator flexible pool will be supported by an Operations team and IT system; enabling staff to book on to clinics of their choosing across multiple sites in Somerset. These roles will be flexible to work in locations / times that fit around any other commitments. This is an opportunity to work with a team of professionals from across all healthcare and community disciplines which may lead to future opportunities working within Primary Care. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Vaccination of patients with COVID-19 vaccines in line with local and national guidance - including drawing up vaccine 

• Vaccination of patients with Flu vaccine relevant to their age group and eligibility criteria 

• Understanding eligibility for vaccination in line with JCVI guidance and where to seek guidance regarding eligibility and issues 

• Following PGDs and National Protocols

• Able to explain the basics of how the vaccine works, what it contains and why, how it has been trialled, any contraindications or precautions and possible side effects and how to treat them

• Preserving a safe and effective working environment for patients and staff 

• Preserving infection control 

**Applicants must be registered i.e. GMC, NMC with prior experience of vaccination ideal
