GP Flexible Pool - Practice Information
All Practices across the Locality can have access to the booking platform (Lantum) funded for you by the ICB, and we offer full training and inductions on the platform. As a Community Interest Company, our rates are very competitive as we are "not for profit", thus any surplus goes back into supporting Primary Care.

We currently have a simple two-tier pricing structure, where remote sessions (both admin or consultation) have a fee of £375 per session, and face-to-face consultations have a fee of £400 per session:
(our fees are flat rates with no hidden costs such as onboarding or booking fees)

-
Remote Consulting - AskymyGP/eConsult, video, telephone consulting
-
Remote Admin (Clinical Admin) - blood test results, incoming clinic letters, EPS, etc
All of our GPs are employed by 100Fold, thus we do all vetting and validation checks and have our own clinical lead, Dr Steven Edgar, for support throughout our GPs sessions. Your practice also gets the support of the 100Fold central operations team to help fill the sessions.

Benefits of remote support

As one of our core activities, we have a pool of remote GPs who can support your practice.
Whilst face-to-face consultations are a vital element of general practice, remote consultation and admin sessions can be employed alongside these, to add value and support to your practice. Remote consultation sessions can be used for straightforward conditions and queries as well as acute on-the-day cases, leaving more room for multifaceted, complex cases to be seen face-to-face in the practice. Additionally, remote consultations are beneficial for follow up appointments. Our GPs say they get great job satisfaction from offering a service that patients welcome.

The 2021 RCGP report (rcgp.org.uk) on the future of remote consultations lists the benefits: for example, they save patients time, reducing the need to travel to the practice. It also offers improved access for certain patient groups, like the working population, housebound patients, carers, and rural patients. It can reduce waiting times for initial contact and free up time for the face-to-face GPs to see more patients in the practice. Remote GP Admin sessions can be used to clear tasks from the GPs in Practice, enabling them to offer more physical appointments.
Our GPs have undertaken remote admin and consultation sessions for many practices across Somerset; they are familiar with the systems used as well as the Somerset pathways and protocols. Whilst our GPs work independently, they are supported by our Clinical Lead and we encourage Practices to have GP groups /GP buddies to assist on the day, in order to give a high-quality service to your patients and provide a better patient experience.
If you would like to book any remote GP sessions, please do get in touch with us on somicb.100foldadmin@nhs.net to let us know your session requirements and dates that you would like support with. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.

Testimonials from Partnered Practices

We have found 100Fold a very helpful resource, cheaper than locum agencies and we have built up a good relationship with a couple of their GPs who have worked with us and helped support us with background admin and some patient contact.
The administration team is friendly and efficient, and I would not hesitate to recommend their services for booking remote GP services - Celia Townend, Practice Manager - Axbridge and Wedmore Medical Practice
